Pioneer Park :)

This week we traveled to Julian and went to the Pioneer Museum and attached park. It was... interesting. We didn't go through the museum itself because it was 3 dollars a person, and we had no cash. But we did get a glimpse in and if you are a person who likes your taxidermy, it is a perfect place for you. There were all sorts of stuffed, dead animals.
There also wasn't much to the park. I was on the page for it on the County of San Diego site and it listed the features of the park:
-Picnic tables
-Restroom
-Water fountain

That was basically all that was there. However, Julian is a lovely place to visit (and get pie!) so the day was not wasted.

There were daffodils EVERYWHERE in Julian. We had no clue why there were so many daffodils, obviously freshly planted, so when we got home, we looked it up.

"March 20-21: Daffodil Show "Daffodil Lovers" Come celebrate Spring with the Flower of Hope– Julian Town Hall 2129 Main Street and The Blue Heron Garden Shop, 2116 Third St. – Saturday, March 20, 12 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 21, noon to 5 p.m. – Bring all daffodils for display & judging Friday March 19, noon to 4 p.m. names and questions about daffodils answered by National Daffodil Society experts"

So now you know. :)

Ooooold Town!

Old Town San Diego! One of my favorite places in San Diego.

While we were there, a mariachi band was being arrested. Why? We have no clue, but it was pretty amusing for us.

The Whaley House is one of the most haunted places in the United States!

Nancy Jane Park

This week we went to Nancy Jane County Park out in Crest. I really have no clue as to the history of said park but I can say it was very pretty.

There were tennis and basketball courts, both very clean and nifty.
