So for my first week back since finals, I went to the Cabrillo National Monument. No, I really can spell. The park is named for Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, discoverer of California.
For just five dollars an entire carload of people can go into this beautiful national park full of gorgeous views and interesting historical tidbits.
One little known fact is that Cabrillo was actually originally from Portugal and he changed his name when he moved to Spain. His original name was João Rodrigues Cabrilho.
Another lovely part of the park is the Old Point Loma Lighthouse.

Once a week I will add another picture of me with a water fountain in a new part of San Diego. :D

A week late, Sorry!!
This week (last week actually) we had I. We searched and searched and could find no park in San Diego that started with the letter I. So we went the easy way out and went to the International Cottages in Balboa Park. Yes, we know we already went to Balboa Park, but there was no where else to go! Yes, we are ashamed of our selves as well...

Genuine G
For G we went to Gershwin Park, in Clairemont.
My boyfriend was in town for the weekend so
he helped us. : )
We definitely had fun in this park. We met two very nice children, one of which told us exactly which pieces of the playground we were allowed (and small enough) to play on. : )

E for Eucalyptus Park
This week, my trusty sidekicks (my sister and friend :D) and I went to Eucalyptus Park in La Mesa.
It really was a truly beautiful park. There were lovely eucalyptus trees (hence the name of the park!) and a safe and clean playground.
There was also a lovely picnic area. All around this park just gave me a really good vibe and I would suggest anyone in the area to give it a chance. : )

D for De Anza Cove
This week was De Anza Cove! There was some beautiful weather this week and even though the place was filled, there was still parking!
De Anza Cove is a part of Mission bay, so the water is quite beautiful (though I wouldn't get in it if you paid me!)
There is even a neat little playground for youngsters (if you have any).

C for Cadman Community Park
Well this park's water fountains are not very pretty so I thought I would show you the rest. : )
This scenic park has a beautiful view of the bay and a large portion of San Diego.
It also has a lovely (and CLEAN) park for the children to play at. ;)

My story
For the past two years I have had the hobby of taking a picture with a new water fountain every time I went to Disneyland. At first it was to amuse my friends and family with new, zany photos but after a while I began to really enjoy finding a new water fountain.
So now I am giving myself a new challenge: to find a new water fountain every week in San Diego, and to obtain a picture of me with it
So, please, enjoy my adventures. I know I will : )
